The Pro: The "Flatbed" premium seats are great value for the 7-hour flight. The Warning:: They are strict about carry-on weight.
If your backpack looks heavy, they will weigh it. 2. VietJet (Hanoi/HCMC to Tokyo/Osaka) The Vibe: No-frills. It’s a flying bus. The Pro: They often have the lowest base fare in the market. Scoot (Singapore to Sapporo via Taipei) The Route: The famous "TPE Layover." The Pro: You can get off in Taipei, eat beef noodles for 3 hours, then continue to the snow. The Cons:: The Taipei-Sapporo leg is always full. Book early. --- Don't book an LCC if you only have 5 days. If a flight is cancelled (which happens in snowstorms), LCCs don't have the "partner airline" network to get you on the next plane. You might be stuck for 48 hours.
