GALA Yuzawa live cams from the Broadway, Melody and Gigi slopes. Check the snow and visibility before you catch the Shinkansen from Tokyo for the day.
GALA Yuzawa has its own Shinkansen station with the gondola right inside, so a lot of people come up from Tokyo for the day. A quick look at the cameras before you leave tells you whether it is worth the trip.
North Area (Broadway): A wide run on the north side. It shows the snow surface and how busy the easier cruising terrain is.
Central Area (Melody): The central area near the top of the gondola, and your basic guide to weather and visibility.
Central Area (Gigi): Another central slope. Compare it with Melody to see how evenly the snow is covering the area.
Yuzawa snow is often wet. A shiny surface on the camera usually means heavy snow, while a white, grainy look points to fresh snow.
Rain and strong wind fog the lenses. Check the cameras and the forecast together.
If you are driving, check the winter traffic page too.
What do the GALA Yuzawa cameras show? Broadway in the North Area, and Melody and Gigi in the Central Area.
How often do they update? They are still-image cameras that refresh every few minutes, on the schedule the source sets.
Are the cameras shown as live out of season? No. Out of season some feeds keep their last winter image, so we only mark them live while the resort is open.
